For Teachers PDF Print

If you are a teacher in Indonesia, Cintabaca wants to work closely with you, encouraging and empowering you in any way we can. Below are a few ideas of how we have worked with teachers in the past.

Bring Your class to a Library or the Library to your Class

If your school doesn't have a library consider taking your class to one of ours. If there isn't one close by, contact us and perhaps we can bring the library to you.

English Teacher Clubs

In several regions Cintabaca has been able to work together with local English school teachers. In some cases we can get some books and resources to a library near you for you to use during your teaching. Because of our guest house & English library in Bogor we also may be able to connect you to native speakers or visitors who come to Indonesia.

Resources for Teachers

Contact one of our local faciilitators or regional managers if you are looking for a particular book or resource. If we have it we might be able to add it into the circulation for your region.

Open a Reading Post in your Home or School

If you also do tutoring on the side or are just passionate about education, will you consider opening your home to a reading post? These posts hold around 200 books, can be locked and don't take up a lot of room.

Special Teacher Workshops

In the past we have had some very qualified teachers and educators come to Indonesia to put on a special seminar or event together with a local University or school. These have led to a two way exchange of ideas that all appreciated.

Library Advisory Groups

Some of our city libraries have a group of teachers that advise on the content of books in the library. Consider volunteering for one of these groups to help us ensure that only good quality books get into the library.
